Where fashion gets down to business

We've seen fashion designers put their imprint on everything from fluffy furniture pillows to tea towels.
Now, fashion will stick to you in a collaboration between New York designer Cynthia Rowley and Band-Aid brand adhesive bandages. Rowley has designed a number of prints that are being used for "Dress-Up" bandages being sold in a limited-edition collection available in 14 designs.
Bryant Ison, senior brand manager for Band-Aid bandages, said that kids' bandages have always come with a certain colorful and whimsical set of designs. Now it's time to do something for adults. "We've seen increased interest from adult consumers who are looking for a stylish way to 'Dress Up' cuts during the healing process," Ison said.
The Band-Aids sell for $9.99 at Cynthia Rowley stores, cynthiarowley.com and at The Shop at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in New York. A donation from the project will go to Design Ignites Change, a group that engages high school and college students in design and architecture projects.
Maybe this will make cuts and scrapes more bearable.
