Where fashion gets down to business

“Project Runway” final—four—ist Mondo Guerra was one of a surprising number of reality show designers showing at L.A. Fashion Week this season.
Guerra showed a small collection at the Millinery Guild of Southern California’s presentation on Oct. 15 at The Biltmore hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
The whimsical collection diverged a bit from Guerra’s work on “Project Runway” (no hounds tooth in sight!) although he showed his signature deft hand at mixing color and pattern. In a nod to the Guild, Guerra topped his designs with glittery mouse-trap hats each complete with a sparkly hunk of cheese.
Guerra's humor and his Technicolor palette reminded me a bit of Los Angeles designers Jared Gold, Nony Tochterman of Petro Zillia, Tarina Tarantino and Joy Han of Voom by Joy Han.
And check out who turned out to support Guerra—fellow “Project Runway” final—four—ist Michael Costello and season 5 designer Jerell Scott.
