The people over at Unique Vintage in Burbank have been pretty busy. They just quadrupled the size of their store and are having a special store-opening sale this Thursday (Jan. 20) to celebrate the event.
I recently rented "Breakfast at Tiffany's" to watch again and was amazed by the clothes worn by Audrey Hepburn. I am in love again with the little black dress, and she wore several stylish black dresses. Unique Vintage probably has a few of those looks.
Their merchandise is both new but vintage-inspired as well as truly vintage. Think Queen of Heartz and Stop Staring dresses that draw on the 1940s for inspiration or more up-to-date looks for eveningwear. Or think of well-made clothes from the 1920s and 1930s.
The Thursday sale at the now 4,000-square-foot store at 2013 W. Magnolia Blvd. is between 4 to 9 p.m. Everything is 25 percent off. Check out the website at www.unique-vintage.com for a preview of some looks that might interest you.
