In recent seasons, we’re not heard much from the 824 Building—one of the eight (!) showroom buildings in the Los Angeles Fashion District.

For those who are keeping tally at home, that’s the California Market Center, The New Mart, the Cooper Design Space, the Gerry Building, the Lady Liberty Building, the Academy Awards Building, the Primrose Building and the afore-mentioned 824 Building, located at 824 (get it?) S. Los Angeles St.

But with the Fall ’11 market—which kicks off on Monday—it looks like the building is—if you forgive the pun and the redundancy—building buzz again.

There are several new tenants, including the AMH Showroom (suite 301), which has a mix of contemporary men’s and women’s brands, including Beachlife by Rex, Hollywood and Vain, Liber, Urban Behavior men’s, and Kane and Unke (thanks for the heads up, Andy!).

To kick off market (and keep the buzz going, no doubt), owners of the Room 4 showroom (suite 307) are throwing are party from 6–9 p.m. on opening day of market.

They’re promising “cocktails, fashion, food, live art, giveaways, + more.” Seems like a perfect way to unwind after a day at market and check out the new tenants at the 824.
