Amy Smart, Busy Phillips and Alicia Witt were just some of the celebs that turned out last night to hear Project Runway’s Tim Gunn tout Lucky Brand’s new denim line and support the nonprofit The Art of Elysium at an event at Eveleigh on Sunset.
The Project Runway host and chief creative officer of Liz Claiborne, Lucky's parent company, said this fall was all about “great fit” and Lucky’s new SuperStretch denim. The fall line includes everything from boot cut to flares.
“For me, what really makes Lucky Brand special is the fit and the fact that there’s so many different styles and variety of jeans,” Gunn said. “When it comes to denim, I’m really not a trend guy. I mean there will certainly be things that are more on trend, or perhaps more popular – I’m all for darker denim because it gives you a lot of versatility and you can dress it up with a blazer and go just about anywhere, so it’s a good thing.”

Eveleigh's bartenders kept everyone happy with a special "Lucky Punch" made with pineapple juice, pisco and black pepper.
The event featured photography by fashion photographer Carter Smith and music by power duo DJ Mia Moretti and electric violinist Caitlin Moe, who are regulars on the fashion party circuit, and who have played everywhere from New York Fashion Week to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding party.

Amy Smart of Showtime's "Shameless," dressed head-to-toe in Lucky.
Smart, who was dressed in Lucky jeans, earrings and a paisley top, said she has been involved with The Art of Elysium for the past seven years because she loves working with children. The nonprofit encourages actors, artists and musicians to volunteer and provide creative workshops for children battling serious medical conditions. Smart also confirmed she would definitely be returning next season to Showtime’s “Shameless.”

Jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth and actress Busy Phillips came to show their support for The Art of Elysium, where they both volunteer.
“Cougar Town”’s Busy Phillips said she had recently been introduced to The Art of Elysium through jewelry designer Irene Neuwirth.
“Any time I have an opportunity to support them, I’m happy to be there,” Phillips said.

Electric violinist Caitlin Moe and DJ Mia Moretti kept the crowds dancing.
Also taking in the fun were Liz Claiborne CEO Bill McComb, Lucky Brand CEO David DeMattei, "Modern Family"'s Sarah Hyland and twin sisters Jessica and Lisa Origliasso of electro pop-punk band The Veronicas.
