Snark With Style

Oh, wow. How have I missed this?

In the spirit of Regretsy and Unhappy Hipsters comes Anthroparodie, an Anthropologie homage/parody site, which features items from the Anthropologie catalog renamed and recaptioned.

The white "Genie Pants" are “perfect for all occasions from funerals to job interviews.” Plus, they’re “comfortable enough to laze around the lamp for eternity.”

The "Misaki" horse-head necklace is described as the “Commemorative The Godfather Necklace,” perfect for those who want to “relive the classic scene from “The Godfather” everyday.”

Other items include the “Sexy Quasimodo Costume” (a plaid poncho), which promises to “Bring Sexy hunchback” and the “Reinforced Leather Girdle,” which is “guaranteed to conceal those extra holiday pounds—trimness is no longer a Christmas miracle away”

The site also takes aim at home décor items—my favorite is the sad and stylish “Brutalist Bird Tenement.”

You did a great job in the hot seat! And you are so right as cliche as it ayalws sounds, we have to find our own style. Besides sometimes it's fun to march to the beat of our own drum
