The soiree had the ambiance of a risque, speakeasy party of the 1920s as Chanteuse's creative director, Chenoa Faun, shined a small spotlight on a dancer during the burlesque dance. However, Faun hoped her line would shine a light on the chanteuse in every woman, specifically one with an eye for vintage fashion.
The 1-year-old San Francisco-based line is inspired by the lingerie of the turn of the 20th century, the Flapper era and the pin-up years of the 1950s. Chanteuse's pin-up Shorts, French knickers and ready-to-wear dresses are constructed out of eco-friendly fabrics such as bamboo and organic cotton. The line is made in fair-trade workshops in
