Behind the Scenes for Oscar's Kanye Moment

Okay, so the buzz around the Sparkletts at Apparel News this morning was as much about the fashions at last night’s Academy Awards as it was about the “Kanye moment” during the acceptance speech for the Oscar-winning short documentary, “Music By Prudence.”

Salon.com got the scoop from producer—and former Salon contributor—Elinor Burkett (Kanye, in this scenario) and contacted the film’s director, Roger Ross Williams (Taylor Swift, for the purposes of metaphorical continuity).

But Los Angeles magazine Style Editor Laurie Pike takes us behind the scenes with her anecdote about dressing the director for his moment of Oscar infamy on her blog the Chic Leak.
