Art Institute of Orange County’s end-of-the-year event, Rock The Runway, seems to get more fabulous every year.
An estimated 3,000 people dropped by the third annual Rock The Runway on May 8, where they nibbled on food from the Kogi BBQ gourmet catering truck and checked out a show from famous rock band The Raveonettes. The burgeoning crowd also got to see fashion shows by
Capricio showed some of his red-carpet creations at the gala. Maggie Barry showed some avant-garde looks, including her take on ballerina. The runway show was produced by Adria Heath and started with a choreographed piece where four dancers hit the stage in Maggie Barry designs. More than $830,000 in scholarships was awarded to the school’s fashion students after the runway show.
