Hi Everyone!

FINALE! YEAH!

Last night’s finale of “Dancing With the Stars” started with a big dance number featuring all of the castoff celebrities and their pro partners. They filled this show with a lot of extra unnecessary fluff, but what can you say, fluff sells.

I haven't tried it but I have oedrred it. It won't be arriving until May though. I got it through Target.com. I think it would be a great way to change up the exercise routine. Unfortunately I do have 2 left feet. We will have to see how it goes.

Hi Everybody!

At last, finally the finals!

Well, last night was the finals for Dancing With the Stars. The last surviving couples in the competition had to strut their stuff one more time to prove that they are worthy of taking home the mirror ball disco trophy. Each couple had to perform two routines—

The show opened with Len Goodman’s encore performance of Rob and Cheryl’s carnival rainbow float-inspired Samba—this time, performed with no pressure. He can dance and have fun.

I'm not exaggerating when I tell you how iteopc the pictures are. The good things in life; my love for my kids; the mona lisa smile knowing that life is a miracle; it's all not far away in some other time and place. It's right here and right now, and you captured it beautifully in your blog.Poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning knew the truth: Earth's crammed with heaven. You are truly gifted, Shawn.

Jive Talking and a Musical Surprise

J.R. Martinez, Karina Smirnoff (Photo by Adam Taylor/ABC)

Hi Everyone!

Last night’s Dancing With the Stars” was called “Instant Dance Night.”

The couples had to learn two dances last night: Their required routine and the instant dance, which was the Jive. But here’s the catch: They didn't know what song they would be dancing to, instead the couples had to pick their song out of a hat. Then they had to fit the routine to the song choice.

One More Down at "Dancing With the Stars"

Kym Johnson and David Arquette

Hi, Everyone!

It was elimination No. 7 on DWTS.

The show opened with a performance with teen-age heart throb Justin Bieber. He performed the song "Never Say Never" from the movie remake of "The Karate Kid." He popped up again later in the show to sing with hit R&B group "Boyz II Men."

Spooky at "Dancing With the Stars"

Kym Johnson with David Arquette

Hi Everyone!

Halloween Night With “Dancing With the Stars."

Monster Mash!

Last night's DWTS theme was Halloween with almost everyone in costume. I have to give kudos to the costume department on this one. All the couples looked great in their outfits - from ghouls to goblins. But kind of odd that the hosts and judges didn't participate in the scary fun. But, oh well.  Neither did I.

Bono Go Home

Hi Everyone!

Elimination night 6 opened with the powerhouse Broadway diva Kristin Chenoweth performing a new song from her album “Some Lessons Learned.”

Of course, she was good—but, not as impressive as when she sings Broadway standards. Next up, country singer Martina McBride sang “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”

Hi Everyone!

It’s week six of “Dancing With The Stars,” and we’re BROADWAY BOUND!

Last night’s competition was all about Broadway tunes. The show started with a raise-the-roof, house-rocking performance of “Raise Your Voice” and “Sunday Morning Fever,” led by Patina Miller and the cast from the musical “Sister Act.”

Without knowing your level of tnaelt, your SATs, your GPA, and etc., it's impossible to tell which schools you should target. But some of the best dance schools in the US include: Juilliard, NYU, Marymount Manhattan, Point Park University, Arizona State U, SUNY Purchase, Temple U, Florida State, Southern Methodist U, U Utah, U Arizona, U Michigan Ann Arbor, Indiana U, Butler U, and Ohio State. Fordham has an interesting program with Alvin Ailey, if you can get into Alvin Ailey as a dancer. You should get your hands on Dance Magazine's College Guide. They list all the college dance programs in the US, tell something about them, and even list which ones offer dance scholarships, and for how much. It's a really great guide. You *really* need to get your hands on a copy. I think you can order it off the Dance Magazine website.
