Banana Republic is getting a dose of Palm Springs style thanks to Los Angeles designer Trina Turk, who will launch a limited-edition capsule collection at the Gap-owned retail chain beginning in June.
The Banana Republic Trina Turk Collection of summer essentials will be sold at Banana Republic stores in the United States, Canada, the U.K., Italy, France, Japan, Turkey, and Korea as well as online in 24 countries through the company’s international e-commerce sites.

Just in time for the holidays, Banana Republic today threw open its doors for its first flagship store in France, located on the renowned shopping boulevard, Champs Elysees Avenue in Paris.
The San Francisco-based chain, which is part of Gap Inc., is slowly invading Europe. Last year, the retailer opened its first European emporium in Milan. Earlier this year it opened a franchised Banana Republic store in Moscow. The company also has an e-commerce site geared just for Europe.

Some gigs have all of the fun. Along with designing the Kennedy era look for the award winning cable series Mad Men, costume designer Janie Bryant co-designed a 65 piece collection inspired by the show for Gap Inc.‘s Banana Republic stores.
Bryant appeared at an Aug 11 launch party for Banana Republic’s Mad Men at The Grove retail center in Los Angeles.
