A gown from Jill Alexander Designs

Sometimes curvy women are forgotten in fashion. Not at Jill Alexander Designs, based in Santa Cruz, Calif.

The 40-something woman behind the self-named line knows what it's like to be more than a size zero since she's a little curvy herself. Since launching her label two years ago, her creations showed last year at Full Figured Fashion Week Los Angeles and this year at Full Figured Fashion Week in New York.

Pucca Parties at Curve for Collection Debut

Hello Kitty better hang on to her hair bows because there’s a new girl named Pucca coming up the cuteness block. Pucca is a spunky, pigtailed girl who stands for both love and power and is the niece of three Chinese noodle-house owners, in case you didn’t know. She spreads hugs and kisses much to the chagrin of her male counterpart and love, Garu the ninja.

Lane Bryant Takes on the Inside Curve

 

Plus-size women’s retailer Lane Bryant has launched an online community called Inside Curve.

Inside Curve connects visitors to both the brand as well as other users and features product reviews, design tips, style advice, behind-the-scenes video and red-carpet interviews.
