A bomb scare on Los Angeles street slowed traffic around the California Market Center this morning as police blocked off three streets surrounding the building.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the scare started at 8:06 a.m., when a citizen called and said there was a suspicious package on the corner of Olympic Boulevard and Main Street. The area was declared safe 10:20 a.m.
 

The April 12-14 run of the Los Angeles Majors Market got off to a brisk start at the California Market Center, where representatives from major retailers—including department stores and chains—turned out to shop the the CMC's showrooms.
