Jesse Faen formerly of Insight is now working with VSTR, a new steezy men's brand that's under the big umbrella of Quiksilver, but supposedly operates completely autonomously. VSTR set up rack during the last L.A. market to show buyers and chatter about the brand has been kept quiet. Now the new VSTR website offers a little taste of what’s to come.

YEAR ZERO TRAILER from GLOBE on Vimeo.
We have an unconditional love for anything prefaced by “post-apocalyptic,” especially when it’s the headline of a mood board. Globe, showing at Agenda starting tomorrow, will be premiering its newest surf flick “0000” (as in Year Zero) on opening night. The inspiration: “post apocalyptic.” The boardshorts: “like that pair of boardies you’d pull out of a trash.”

Mark your calendars - May 28, Space15Twenty, 7-10 p.m., urban beach bash. Gonz! is back and ready to party. And, since founder Rick Klotz said the collection is inspired by an "all-encompassing party vibe," we're guessing that means good times and a great way to kick off your weekend.

Agenda drew a crowd of street/surf/skate brands and buyers to Huntington Beach, Calif., January 8-9. Held at the Hyatt Regency on Pacific Coast Highway, the show also benefitted from rad waves right across the street. (I say that not from any personal experience - the only time I've ever "surfed" I kicked some coral and sent my board flying into a stranger's cranium. I'm only reporting what I heard.)
