There's been a long line of designers who have joined forces with Macy's to do collaboration collections.

The latest on the list is Los Angeles-centric Nicole Richie, the reality TV star turned designer who also appears on the popular NBC-TV series "Fashion Star."

A Tale of Two Hurleys and One Weezer

It shouldn't be any surprise at all, seeing as how the apparel industry is rife with collaborations, but this latest one is sort of unique.

Costa Mesa, Calif.-based action-sports brand Hurley has teamed up with Weezer for "Rocks You Back to School" - a "fashion and music collaboration" that includes limited-edition Hurley wovens, T-shirts and hoodies for guys and girls inspired by Weezer.

Shareen X Madewell = Love


Shareen Mitchell has made quite the name for herself whipping vintage finds into must-have gems for fashionable girls in L.A. and New York. Sometimes she reworks it—moving a hem, changing a sleeve, reimagining the entire silhouette—sometimes she just pops it on a hanger, but somehow Shareen's vintage always feels fresh.

Kill City and Brian Lichtenberg Celebrate Launch of New Collaboration

The creative minds behind Kill City and Brian Lichtenberg collide for a new collaborative effort aptly called Brian Lichtenberg for Kill City. To celebrate the partnership, a launch party will be thrown at the Kill City store at 7975 Melrose Ave. on Friday, Oct. 2. Goodies will be provided by Nakon Beer and Pink's Hot Dogs with tunes spun by DJ Kid Grim. I envision the looks to be shiny with a little grunge thrown in.
