Calling all vintage fashion buffs. There's a big show for you coming Feb. 10-11 at the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
More than 100 booths will be set up, with 60 of those selling vintage fashion. This is the third year for InspirationLA taking on all things old. Think shoes, shirts, pants, dresses, purses.

Ever been to a Kingpins show? Now you can get a sampling of the boutique denim sourcing show, which hosts editions in New York, Los Angeles, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Delhi and Bangalore, through its newly launched “67 Second Sell” video series.

I’m walking—and working—the shows in Las Vegas this week.
Seeing some great new brands and hearing some interesting news --like the front page news about Velvet Heart’s eye on China—and the Department of Commerce’s efforts to encourage partnerships between businesses in North, South and Central America.

NEW YORK—The Project Trade Show got off to a positive start on July 17 with exhibitors making face time with a number of specialty boutiques and retailers. Project, which features contemporary menswear labels as well as denim brands and men's footwear, returned to New York's SoHo neighborhood at a two-floor loft space on Mercer Street.

NEW YORK—The MRket trade show, organized by Business Journals Inc., returned to the Jacob K. Javits Center in Midtown to showcase its roster of upscale and contemporary menswear brands as well as footwear and accessories.
Kicking off the show on July 17, a crowd of well-dressed buyers was greeted with looks that ranged from refined suiting to rugged outerwear to classic casualwear for the Spring/Summer 2012 season.

Last year's debut: Antonio Villaraigosa at Beverly Center's 2010 Fashion's Night Out
There's nothing like a little bit of planning. Sept. 8 is confirmed to be the date for 2011 Fashion's Night Out, a global party celebrating fashion retail. Beverly Center management confirmed April 28 that it was selected by the City of Los Angeles to host the kickoff event of the citywide fashion block party.

What will the kids be rockin' this Fall? If the Agenda trade show is any indication, we’ll be seeing an eclectic mix of ethnic inspiration, '70s music festival attire, a touch of vintage and plenty of floral and leopard prints. These were some of the key trends I spotted at the show which took place on Jan. 6 and 7 in Anaheim, Calif.
