LAS VEGAS—For the first time, exhibitors and buyers gathered under one roof at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center for the Feb. 2–4 run of the WSA Show. This season, buyers shopped for dependable classics, comfortable footwear and the newest trends for Fall 2010.
Though smaller this year, the show still sprawled onto three floors of the convention center. The show included high-end designer shoes at The Collections at WSA and fashion-forward contemporary shoe and accessories brands in a special section named The Box at WSA. With the retail market still uncertain, retailers were looking
for brands that offered quality as well as value. Footwear designers focused on tried-and-true classics, vintage remixes and a slew of trends that have garnered attention on the runways. There were plenty of boots in all shapes and sizes ranging from cropped workwear looks to über-sexy over-the-knees styles. Straight from pop-culture, Victorian-inspired was a breakout trend from the recent slew of vampire-themed movies and television shows. And designers went au naturel, gleaning mother earth's approval with the comeback of the clog.
Here is a look at key trends from the show.

Clog Dance
Blame it on Karl Lagerfeld. The clog has moved from the dance floor to the mainstream with Chanel's barnyard-themed Spring runway show. Shoe brands are continuing the look for Fall with a variety of new inventive styles. The look ranged from the classic clog shape to high-heel varieties and boots with studded clog-like details. Work It
Classic workwear inspires a range of casual boots in a variety of hybrid looks including cowboy boots, hiking boots and motocross styles. The freshest looks were distressed and worn in with painted treatments, suede fabrics, burned effects and a smattering of studs and buckles. Click photo to enlarge.
