LAS VEGAS—Buyers were greeted with a condensed list of exhibitors at the Spring 2011 edition of the World Shoe Association's biannual footwear and accessories show.
Held at the Sands Expo and Convention Center and The Venetian Aug. 9–11, this most recent WSA Show did not include the Collections at WSA luxury and designer satellite show. However, organizers said they were hopeful the show would be revived.
Exhibitors stuck with what works for Spring, offering updated styles of successful sandals, stilettos, platforms and wedges.
Height—whether through
clogs, platforms or pin-thin heels—proved to be the most common denominator.

Such Great Heights
Thanks to generous platforms and wedges hewn from everything from cork to straight-up wood and lucite to faux-bois, women won't have any problem standing tall come spring. The look, which bounces between earthy and chic, is not for the faint of heart or those suffering from a fear of heights. Click photo to enlarge.
