Los Angeles-based private label manufacturer Tarrant Apparel Group has been named vendor of the year in the denim category by Cincinnati, Ohio-based specialty retailer The Limited’s Express division; Express president Michael A. Weiss noted that Tarrant’s position as a vertical company made it a “one-stop shop” for the retailer...Anaheim, Calif.-based retailer Pacific Sunwear of California Inc. has launched a sweepstakes contest for in-store and online consumers; winners will receive surf-, skate-, music-, and lifestyle-related vacation packages to destinations such as Cancun, Mexico, Orlando, Fla. and San Francisco; the contest will be promoted in Pac Sun store on the company’s Web site and through the company’s affiliate Web sites, including sites run by O’Neill, Lost, Santa Cruz, MCA Music Corp. of America, Alloy and Yahoo.
