California Couture: Richard Tyler
Celebrities and Los Angeles notables were on hand to preview the Richard Tyler Fall 2001 line and a selection of Sotheby’s jewelry at an evening at Sotheby’s in Beverly Hills, Calif., on March 15. The jewelry was set to be auctioned at a later date in New York and the line included some of Tyler’s best design details: inch-thick pleats, generously cuffed trousers, shoulders were strong but not exaggerated and the designer’s palette included cool cream, black and gunmetal, before warming up to spice tones and cherry red.
