Elastic manufacturer CMI has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection following two attempts by creditors to force the company into involuntary bankruptcy. The company has secured $10 million in debtor-in-possession financing and announced that its Elastics Fabrics of America division will continue operations.
