Riordan Reader

Former Los Angeles mayor Richard Riordan announced plans to launch a local newspaper this summer. The paper will be modeled after the New York Observer, a weekly paper with a distinctive insider’s voice. Riordan is not yet releasing the name of the publication but said typical articles would include local and state news, feature stories and Internet and media analysis. The former mayor made his announcement shortly after a Canadian firm entered the New York newspaper scene with a new daily paper, the New York Sun.
