Sculpteur Pant Co.

Ed Noble was looking to create a unique collection of pants with defining fit when he came up with the idea to launch Sculpteur Pant Co.

The new collection features D-Fine System, a patented invention that defines the derriere as two distinct parts as opposed to one.

“I wanted to make styles that would be effective in defining a woman’s backside,” said Noble.

Earlier in his career, the inventor/designer created a gym pant that offered a more defined look when the drawstring cord that ran along the back rise to the front of the waist was adjusted. His Corona del Mar, Calif.-based company licensed its form-fitting system to Aris Industries a few years ago but reacquired it last year to start its own collection.

Noble said for the past year he has been working with Los Angeles-based Ora-Zoeuml; Design Consulting to incorporate its defining system into a full bottoms collection.

Vertigo, faux suede and yoga pant are just a few styles in the collection. Denim styles include straight leg and flair legs with patchwork details. Wholesale price points for the 17-piece collection range from $35 for activewear to $65 for a pair of embellished denim.

Noble said the company is targeting specialty stores that pay extra attention to customers’ fashion needs. —Claudia Figueroa
