Surf Expo Plans Resort Show

Atlanta, Ga.–based trade show producer Surf Expo announced plans to produce a West Coast resortwear trade show set to debut Aug. 19–20 at the Queen Mary hotel and museum in Long Beach, Calif.

California Resortwear Show is geared toward specialty buyers looking for resortwear, eyewear and accessories for women, men and children.

The two-day show will occupy approximately 15,000 square feet of exhibit space and include 150 booths. As of press time, the list of exhibitors had not been confirmed by the show’s organizers. Surf Expo is a division of DMG World Media and produces two shows annually in Orlando, Fla.

Organizers say the company’s decision to launch a new resort show on the West Coast is simply a natural extension of DMG World Media’s involvement in apparel trade shows.

“California Resortwear Show will finally meet the industry’s needs for a dedicated resort show on the West Coast like Surf Expo does on the East Coast,” said Lori Kisner, show producer and vice president of DMG World Media. “And the retailers and manufacturers we’ve talked to are also very excited about the location.”

At the trade show, buyers will also be treated to an industry cocktail reception, fashion show and complimentary lunch. For more information about the California Resort Show, visit www.surfexpo.com. —Claudia Figueroa
