ASAP Shifts to Las Vegas Hilton

ASAP, the apparel industry sourcing show that debuted last February in Las Vegas during MAGIC International, is moving its exhibition from the Mirage Hotel & Casino to the Las Vegas Hilton to accommodate an expected larger turnout for the Aug. 25–28 run, organizers said.

ASAP, which stands for the Apparel Sourcing Association Pavilion, was able to move its show of 200–250 exhibitors to the Hilton since MAGIC kids moved into the Las Vegas Convention Center, said Jerome Yuan of Cyber Merchants Exchange, the Pasadena, Calif.-based B2B company organizing ASAP.

“It’s next to the Las Vegas Convention Center, where part of MAGIC will be taking place, so it will be convenient for our guests,” said Yuan, who added that exhibitor attendance is expected to nearly double for the second edition of the show.

ASAP is scheduled to host garment and textile manufacturers from several countries, including China, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Guatemala, India, the Philippines, Israel and Egypt. The show will also feature turnkey buying packages that allow customers to make international purchases without letters of credit, said Yuan. Additionally, a free trip to China will be given away during the event.
