Latin Museum in Long Beach Spotlights Local Designers

Designers Estevan Ramos, David Cardona and David Rodriguez will all participate in a runway show planned for April 27 at the Museum of Latin American Art in Long Beach, Calif.

Jovana Lara, a reporter for KABC-TV in Los Angeles, will host the show, which will feature a sampling of the diverse styles of the aforementioned designers. Los Angeles-based Ramos is known for his contemporary, sexy denim collections. Cardona, also Los Angeles-based, has established his mark with a couture collection that pairs menswear-inspired detailing with modern silhouettes. New York-based (but Los Angeles-raised) Rodriguez’s style combines classic tailoring with romantic fabrics. All three designers are graduates of the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

The event will combine art and fashion in an evening to raise funds for the museum. Guests will be invited to tour the museum’s collections, participate in a silent auction, enjoy a formal dinner, take in the fashion show and end the evening with dancing.
