L.A. Fashion Week Spring '03: Pacific Coast Travelers

About 300 guests viewed missy, contemporary, moderate and bridge collections for Spring 2003 at the Pacific Coast Travelers fashion show held on Nov. 2 in the California Market Center atrium lobby. The looks were colorful, clean and sophisticated, with paisleyprinted dresses by Chaudry; white eyelet pleated skirt paired with novelty tee, both by Johnny Was; ocean prints on various styles by Samora; organza embroidered shirt with capri pant by Anu by Natural and contrasting sequined jumpsuits by Joseph Ribkoff. Special occasion dressmaker Jessica McClintock presented innovative styles with elegant details. Several buyers at the show said hand-beading and embroidery would continue to pique shoppers’ interest this spring. The show also presented a handful of novel accessories and jewelry collections, including George Glassel, Still A Broad, Classic Hardware, Wildflower, Mark Poulin, Designs by Lara Noel Hill and Faith Knight. —Claudia Figueroa
