Lower Confidence

The Consumer Confidence Index fell for the fourth month in a row in September to 93.3 from 94.5 the previous month, according to the Conference Board, the New York-based research firm that compiles the Index. But the Conference Board found that expectations remain high. The Expectations Index rose to 96.5 in September from 95.5 the month before.
