Kandy Kiss Moving to Sylmar, Calif.

Pacoima, Calif.–based Kandy Kiss of California Inc. is moving its headquarters to the Cascades Business Park in Sylmar, Calif. According to the company, the move to the 61,000-square-foot space will allow the juniors and childrenswear maker to accommodate its growing brands, which include Zoey, YB Normal, YB Kids and Sammi & Me.

The eight-year leasing deal is valued at $3.3 million, according to broker CB Richard Ellis Inc. Kandy Kiss expects to move into the new building in May.

“We’ve been growing all the way around and needed more space,” said Robert Friedland, the company’s president. “It’s a newer building and is all computerized, so it should make for a better work environment.”

The facility is a Class A industrial building at 13931 Balboa Blvd. in the 373,030- square-foot Cascades Business Park. The park occupies a site at the Golden State Freeway near Balboa and Foothill boulevards and was developed by the Hewson Co. of Sylmar. Kandy Kiss will sublet the space from semiconductor manufacturer Brooks-Pri Automation. —Robert McAllister
