ARC Expands in Gardena

American Recycled Clothing LLC is moving to a new facility in Gardena, Calif.

The supplier of vintage garments to the apparel industry has signed a lease for a 30,000-squarefoot building at 1960 W. 139th St., according to Daum Commercial Real Estate Services. The move will increase the company’s space by more than 50 percent, said Brad Levin of Daum’s South Bay office.

American Recycled currently operates on Western Avenue in Gardena. The company wholesales used men’s, women’s and children’s clothing to a range of clients.

“A lot of our customers are [Fashion District] companies that buy vintage clothing and rework it to their needs,” said company owner Errol Kaplan.

The lease is valued at $500,000, according to Levin, who did not disclose the length of the lease.

American Recycled plans to move later this month. The new facility will serve as a recycling center and will include 3,000 square feet of office space and site parking for 60 cars. —Robert McAllister
