Asch Joins California Apparel News Staff

Veteran journalist Andrew Asch has joined the editorial staff of the California Apparel News as retail editor. Asch replaces Christian M. Chensvold, who will continue to write for the publication on a free-lance basis.

Asch has a 10-year history covering business, community news, music and films in Southern California for publications including the Los Angeles Times, The Orange County Register, the Daily Breeze, MSNBC.com, Investor’s Business Daily, RollingStone.com and the OC Weekly. He was also a contributing writer to Jr., the California Apparel News’ glossy magazine covering the juniors market.

Asch holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Southern California and a bachelor’s degree in politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

“We are very pleased to have Andrew join us at the California Apparel News,” said Executive Editor Alison A. Nieder. “His experience covering the business of Southern California will be a strong asset to the paper.”
