Label Penalty
Michigan-based Pelle Pelle has agreed to pay $40,000 to settle a Federal Trade Commission charge that the streetwear manufacturer put the wrong care labels on several of the company’s men’s pants and jackets made from a flocked fabric. The care labels read “dry clean only,” however, the FTC found that the adhesive on the flocking dissolved when drycleaned.
