Noland's Action Chic at MAGIC

Designer Meghan Noland describes her contemporary collection as “sort of a James Bond–meets–The Crocodile Hunter look.”

The Orange County, Calif., native launched her Meg Noland Los Angeles two years ago, and immediately began selling to major department stores such as Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s, as well as specialty retailers Ron Herman/Fred Segal-Melrose, Madison and By George.

The Fall 2003 collection features 22 pieces, from a salmon-colored silk dress with lace-up sides ($88) to a charcoal-colored high-water pant with cargo pockets ($58). Delivery dates begin May 30.

Noland is also launching a new junior collection for Fall 2003 called Meg and Ginger. Noland said the collection has a “vintage boudoir” feel and is geared toward teenage girls who shop at retail stores such as Urban Outfitters, Delia’s and Windsor. Initial deliveries begin July 30.
