Freeborders Releases New PDM Package

San Francisco-based software company Freeborders, Inc. has added a new version of its product data management solution to its arsenal. FB iPDM 2.6 is designed to help retailers and brands collaborate globally on product issues to reduce lead times and improve overall efficiency.

The release provides capabilities such as quick costing for one-touch margin and sourcing-scenario analysis and embedded supply-chain reports to help users adhere to development calendars and improve on-time delivery gates.

Freeborders chief executive officer Ramsey Walker said that 80 percent of apparel production cost takes place during design and development phases. PDM helps users make critical product decisions earlier, faster and more accurately than before, he said.
