Rojas Splits with Private
After a year of designing for Private clothing, designer Freddie Rojas is going solo. Rojas and the Los Angeles-based manufacturer parted ways on friendly terms recently and are both planning on resuming their lines for the upcoming fall season.
Rojas joined Private Circle in October 2001, shuttering his Rojas label and changing the name of his X Collection on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles to Private Circle. The label and the boutique name were shortened to Private in 2002. Rojas will now resume ownership of the boutique.
Both plan to show their Fall 2003 collections at MAGIC International in Las Vegas in February. —Joselle Yokogawa
