Energy Woes
Texas-based El Paso Corp., parent company of El Paso Natural Gas, lost its bid to dismiss antitrust suits filed in California. The suits state that the energy supplier fixed the price of natural gas in California during the energy crisis of 2001 and limited the construction of a new pipeline to the state to keep national gas prices high.
