SARS Slowing?
The World Health Organization issued a statement indicating the SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) outbreak appears to be contained in Vietnam and the worst of the outbreak seems to have passed in Singapore, Hong Kong and Canada. But WHO officials said the disease is still evident in neighboring countries—most notably China, which shares a border with Vietnam. As a result of the health crisis, the Shanghai Garment Trade Association has moved the Shanghai International Fashion Brand Exposition, originally planned for July, to September.
