Frederick's of Hollywood

Los Angeles–based lingerie maker Frederick’s of Hollywood showed it can make livable lingerie aimed at a mainstream shopper at its Spring 2004 runway show on Oct. 29.

The consumer-oriented fashion show at the Hollywood Athletic Club in Los Angeles featured the ear-splitting hair metal of Camp Freddy. (Frederick’s obliged attendees with complimentary earplugs.)

The show included various looks, from femme fatale garter sets to simple sheer teddies that could be easily stowed for a weekend getaway. Other looks included floral bustiers, mini wraps, polka-dot and asymmetrical styles, low-rise boy-cut panties, copious mixings of black and pink, and even a take on the classic French maid’s outfit that was cute rather than camp.
