The Dallas Fashion Awards is the oldest retailer-chosen awards program in the country. The program, originally conceived by the Apparel Mart’s board of governors, recognizes “superior design innovation, quality workmanship and retail performance.” Specialty retailers and members of the fashion press nominate the finalists in 15 categories, and retailers vote during the August Dallas Apparel Market. —R.M.
