New Web-Based Marker System

German firm Assyst-Bullmer has rolled out a Web-based marker-making service at www.automarker.com.

The service allows users to upload unnested patterns to the Web site, which nests them automatically. Users can then view the patterns online before downloading and e-mailing them to clients.

The system is compatible with Assyst- Bullmer’s Cad.Assyst, Gerber Technology Inc.’s Accumark and MicrodynamicsMicromark. The Web site also allows users to download plot files and cut files to drive plotters and cutters anywhere in the world. The system works with stripe and plaid matching.

For users without on-site plotters, Assyst- Bullmer will download patterns from the Web site, print them and send them to each client’s location of choice. —R.M.
