Stussy Adds to Sales and Design Team

The Irvine, Calif.–based streetwear apparel maker Stussy announced that it has added a national sales representative and eyewear brand manager to its team.

Jessica Rush will serve as national sales manager. Rush will oversee the management of sales accounts and set sales goals. She will report to President and Owner Frank Sinatra. She previously worked as a regional sales representative at Dawls, a Los Angeles– based juniors apparel label.

Ben Will has been named brand manager for eyewear. Previously, Will was the floor manager of Huntington Surf & Sport in Huntington Beach, Calif. He will be in charge of maintaining the image of the eyewear line and consulting with the design, sales and production teams. He will report to Scott Terpstra, administrative sales manager.

“We feel that Jessica and Ben are going to be an asset to the company’s growth as well as guidance and image,” Terpstra said. “They both have a youthful energy, which is a positive influence on our brand.”

Stussy has grown into a multimillion-dollar company with international distribution.

The company grew out of the Newport Beach, Calif., surf scene in the 1980s, when Shawn Stussy created a line of T-shirts with his original surfboard graphics. Stussy has since grown into a full apparel line with wholesale distribution in 15 countries, three retail stores in the United States and 35 flagship stores in Japan. —Claudia Figueroa
