Griffith Joins CMC Leasing Staff

The California Market Center in Los Angeles has hired Megan Griffith as director of leasing, fashion. Griffith will head up leasing for the women’s contemporary category, as well as for the swimwear and intimate apparel segments.

Griffith joins the CMC team after four years as the West Coast director of Gen Art, where she oversaw the New York–based art, film and fashion nonprofit’s West Coast activities, including the annual Fresh Faces in Fashion runway show. The show helped focus media attention on several Los Angeles designer lines, including Louis Verdad, Grey Ant, Alicia Lawhon, Jared Gold, MartinMartin, Rami Kashou, Howe and Oliver Twist.

Griffith also founded and produced the Look: International Sportswear Show and helped grow the streetwear and snowboarding categories at the Action Sports Retailer Trade Expo.

In hiring Griffith, the CMC has launched a long-term project to expand the building’s contemporary and designer offerings on the second, third and fifth floors. —Alison A. Nieder
