CCA Honors Industry Leaders

The Central City Association will honor apparel industry executives Stanley Hirsh and Jack Needleman posthumously for their efforts on behalf of downtown Los Angeles at the 10th annual Treasures of Los Angeles luncheon gala.

Real estate developer Mark Weinstein will also be honored with the 2004 Treasures award for his work on Santee Court, downtown’s largest housing conversion project.

In addition, the CCA will salute the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, the film industry, the developers working to convert office buildings into housing and others whose work supports downtown organizations.

Tim Leiweke, president of the Anschultz Entertainment Group, which manages the Staples Center, will receive the 2004 Heart of the City award.

Eli Broad and Richard Riordan will serve as the honorary co-chairs of the event, which is sponsored by the Staples Center, Verizon, Washington Mutual and Wells Fargo.
