Gap Gets Ethical
San Francisco–based retail chain Gap Inc. has been accepted into the Ethical Trading Initiative, a British organization that works to promote corporate codes regarding supply-chain labor conditions. The ETI has 37 companies and 16 non-governmental organizations and global trade unions as members. Gap is only the third U.S. company to join the alliance, according to the retailer.
