Peace & Love Jewelry by Nancy Davis

Nancy Davis created her Peace & Love Jewelry as a thank-you gift to friends and sponsors of her “Peace & Love”–themed Race to Erase MS event in 2002. The original necklace, in memory of Sept. 11, featured a heart with a peace sign.

“It was very poignant of where we were in the world,” Davis said. “Hopefully no matter who you are, where you live, what your politics are and whatever your religion is, we all aspire to two very important things: peace and love.”

The diamond-encrusted necklace was a hit, and friends soon began asking for more. Today the line includes more than 200 casual and dressy pieces, carried in such stores as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Gearys Beverly Hills and Fred Segal. Celebrities—including Halle Berry, Mischa Barton, the Osbournes and Nicole Richie—are fans.

For Davis, designing the jewelry is “a real love and a real passion.” The pieces, made from 18-karat white gold and diamonds, evoke positive themes, with symbols such as buddhas, peace signs, four-leaf clovers, and ladybugs. The line includes various charmed necklaces and bracelets, linear earrings with aquamarine and pink sapphire stones, cuff links, and multi-strand necklaces with hand-carved Italian cameos.

This season, Davis has added many new pieces to the collection, including a crown charm topped with a heart and a peace sign as a tribute to this year’s “Rock & Royalty” Race to Erase MS event.

Wholesale prices range from $250 to $4,000 for most pieces and from $5,000 to $20,000 for more elaborate designs. For information, call (866) PEACELV, or go to www.peaceandlovejewelry.com. —N. Jayne Seward
