Joe's Revisits Men, Debuts Kids

Joe’s Jeans Inc., a subsidiary of the Commerce, Calif.–based Innovo Group Inc., has announced the revival of its Joe’s Men’s line and the addition of a children’s line, Joe’s Kids, for Spring 2006.

With its first collection since Fall 2004, the resurrected men’s line will feature four fits: Classic, a bootcut; Rebel, a relaxed fit; Rocker, a skinny flare fit; and Straight Rocker, a European-style fit. Beyond denim, the men’s collection will also include sportswear pieces such as T-shirts, twill trousers and fleece hoodies. Basic denim will retail for $172–$196, trousers for $198–$242, and hoodies for $120. A limited-edition premium denim line, set to retail for $289, will accompany the collection.

“The timing is right to resume our men’s line and explore that part of the market again,” said Joe Dahan, the company’s founder and designer, in a statement. “I anticipate this will be a positive growth opportunity for the Joe’s brand,” he said.

Another growth opportunity comes in the form of the new Joe’s Kids line. Set to debut with jeans for boys and girls in sizes 2T through 14, the denim is based on the best fits from the adult Joe’s lines. A growing segment in the premium denim market, kids’ jeans lines have been debuted this year by Antik Denim and J&Company. —Erin Barajas
