Just Divine

On the runway, Ryan Seacrest’s men’s shirt collection, R Line, was paired with Chip & Pepper’s premium denim and King Baby Studio jewelry, while in the audience, there was a similarly diverse mix of entertainment, interior design and fashion.

That was the scene at the Nov. 30 pre-opening party for Divine Design, the three-day shopping benefit for Project Angel Food, held at Barker Hanger in Santa Monica, Calif.

“American Idol” host and radio personality Seacrest and actress Tisha Campbell-Martin (star of ABC’s “My Wife & Kids”) were honored as style icons and for their efforts in the fight against AIDS. Actress-turned-retailer Lisa Rinna, owner of the Belle Gray boutiques in Sherman Oaks and Calabasas, Calif., hosted the event with her husband, actor Harry Hamlin. Eric McCormack, star of NBC’s “Will & Grace,” served as auctioneer for the event.

The party kept going on Dec. 1, when a VIP night brought out the serious shoppers to snatch up fashions, accessories and home-deacute;cor products from labels including Trina Turk, Nicole Miller, Warnaco, Christopher Radko, Crate & Barrel and L.A. Eyeworks, while enjoying a performance by cast members from Cirque du Soleil’s “Zumanity” show.

Divine Design has raised more than $13 million for Project Angel Food, which has been providing meals to men, women and children disabled by HIV/AIDS and other serious illnesses since 1989. A team of dedicated volunteers helps prepare and deliver meals every day to clients’ homes across the Los Angeles region. —Alison A. Nieder
