Premium Denim: Like Mother, Like Daughter

Los Angeles–based premium denim brand J&Company has taken the signature embellished pockets and washes from its women’s line and shrunk them to fit smaller bodies.

The new line, J&Company Kids, is for girls’ sizes 7–14 and features mini versions of the bestsellers from the women’s line. The collection, which is set to ship in January, includes pants, skirts and Bermuda shorts. Wholesale prices are $36–$54.

“A lot of retailers have been asking for a kids’ line,” said Haley Gottlieb, the brand’s co-designer. “We thought our novelty jeans would be great for kids.” Boys will have to wait a bit longer for their J&Company jeans. “We’re not quite there yet with boys, but we’re working on it,” Gottlieb said. —Erin Barajas
