Report: Online Satisfaction Guaranteed

According to Nielsen/NetRatings’ annual 2004 “eSpending Report,” the majority of online consumers were satisfied with this season’s Web shopping experience. Thirty-seven percent were very satisfied, 24 percent were somewhat satisfied, and 30 percent felt this year’s online shopping was better than last year’s.

The top three reasons for this satisfaction were: a preference to buy online rather than brave the crowds in bricks-and-mortar stores (according to 36 percent of respondents), lower prices online than in past years (according to 36 percent of respondents) and a wider selection of products online than ever before (according to 33 percent of respondents).
