Melrose Co-Op Seeks Designers
Melrose Co-op is a new weekly designer marketplace set to launch in August at the Melrose Light Space on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles.
The organizers plan to showcase 15 designers and artists weekly in the space, located at 7600 Melrose Ave. at the corner of Curson Avenue.The designers will be selected based on their merchandise and price points. Each designer will receive a 6-by-6-foot display space. The fee for participation is $100. To be considered, designers should submit three to five photos of the line or the address of the company Web site and descriptions and prices of the items to be sold to info@cmzdesigns.com. Applicants should include contact information and put “Melrose Co-op” in the subject line.
The organizers said they will promote the event by sending invitations to Los Angeles residents; distributing flyers; and placing announcements with several publications and Web sites, including California Apparel News, DailyCandy Inc. (www.dailycandy.com) and LA.com.
The inaugural Melrose Co-op will be held Aug. 7 from noon to 5:30 p.m.
